About OneResume

Why it exists

OneResume started as a script one of us wrote while job hunting after a layoff, to stop rewriting the same résumé for every application. Tailoring a résumé to a posting works, but doing it by hand costs an evening per application. OneResume does that work in about a minute and leaves the decisions to you.

Who builds it

OneResume is created by Brad McDaniel (@AgileBrad) and is a Pearl Street Ventures project. Product updates ship most weeks; every release is listed on the updates page.

How it works

• One master profile. Import your résumé, LinkedIn or GitHub once. Every application is built from it.
• Tailoring for each job. Paste a job description and OneResume rewrites your résumé to match it, using the posting's language where your experience supports it.
• A fact-check on every rewrite. Before you see a tailored résumé, a grounding check compares it with your profile and blocks employers, titles, numbers or skills you never gave us.
• You stay in charge. OneResume never submits an application or sends a message for you, including when it runs inside Claude, ChatGPT or Grok.

How we keep it honest

• Every statistic on this site links back to its primary source. When we checked our own marketing, some claims did not hold up, and we published what we fixed.
• Changes to how OneResume writes a tailored résumé are tested against a fixed set of profiles and job postings for invented facts before they ship.
• We do not show ratings or reviews until real customers have written them.

Your data

Your profile and applications belong to you. Our AI providers' terms do not allow them to train on your data, and you can delete your account and data at any time. The details are in our privacy policy.
